Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)

1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

1 egg (for egg wash)

Salsa and sour cream (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Add Seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning according to the packet instructions. Add diced tomatoes and black beans, mixing well. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat.

Add Cheese: In a bowl, combine the taco meat mixture with the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, green onions, and cilantro. Mix until well combined.

Prepare Pizza Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the refrigerated pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

Fill and Roll: Cut the dough into strips, about 2-3 inches wide. Place a generous spoonful of the taco filling onto one end of each strip. Roll the dough up tightly around the filling, sealing the edges.

Egg Wash: Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush the tops of the rolled sticks with the egg wash for a golden finish.

Bake: Place the cheesy taco sticks seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with salsa and sour cream on the side for dipping.
