Creamy Honey Pepper Chicken Mac and Cheese Delight

8 oz elbow macaroni

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, diced

2 tbsp olive oil

½ cup honey

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup frozen peas (optional)

Salt to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Cook the Macaroni: In a large pot, boil salted water and add the elbow macaroni. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the diced chicken breast and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Sauté for about 7-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

      Make the Honey Pepper Sauce: Reduce the heat to low, then add honey to the skillet with the cooked chicken. Stir well to coat the chicken in the honey and let it bubble gently for about 2-3 minutes. If using, add the frozen peas and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

        Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In a separate saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat. Gradually whisk in both the cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth. Season with additional black pepper and salt to taste.
