Ingredients

20 jumbo pasta shells

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

2 cups marinara sauce

2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried basil)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Pasta: In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the jumbo shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, ½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped basil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff Shells: Using a spoon, carefully fill each jumbo shell with the cheese mixture until they are stuffed to the brim.

Layer Sauce: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread 1 cup of marinara sauce across the bottom.

Arrange Shells: Place the stuffed shells seam side up on the marinara sauce in the baking dish.

Add More Sauce: Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered.

Sprinkle Cheese: Top with the remaining ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, garnish with additional fresh basil if desired, and serve hot!
