Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup apple cider

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with non-stick spray.

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the apple cider, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the ingredients are smoothly blended.

Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently mix until just combined; do not overmix. The batter should be thick and slightly lumpy.

Fill the Donut Pan: Carefully spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full for optimal rise.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown and spring back when gently pressed.

Cool: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Coat the Donuts: In a shallow dish, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Once the donuts are cool, roll each one in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.

Serve and Enjoy: Enjoy your irresistible apple cider donuts fresh, or store them in an airtight container for a couple of days!
