Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns

Lettuce leaves (for garnish)

Tomato slices (for garnish)

Optional: additional cheese for toppings

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, green onions, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix well using your hands or a spatula until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Form Patties: Divide the chicken mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty (this helps them cook evenly).

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties into the skillet.

Cook the Patties: Cook the burgers for 5-7 minutes on one side until they develop a nice golden brown crust. Carefully flip the patties and cook for another 5-7 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the juices run clear.

Melt the Cheese (Optional): If you want extra gooeyness, place a slice of additional white cheddar on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover the skillet with a lid to help the cheese melt.

Assemble the Burgers: Toast your burger buns if desired. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half, followed by the cooked chicken patty, a slice of tomato, and the top half of the bun.

Serve: Enjoy your delicious White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers with your favorite sides!
